How to clean computer registry

If your computer is running slow or is having freezing problems and you having to reboot it, it is time for a registry clean. If you are searching the internet trying to find a solution you have more than likely found a few articles explaining a registry clean. Performing a registry clean can be a very risky business if you have little or no technical knowledge of clean computer registry. The easiest and quickest way to clean the computer registry is to use registry cleaning software, there are many versions available, but it is best to select one that will allow you to back up the existing registry first before cleaning, this is a safe guard in case something goes wrong, you can always revert back to the back up and try again. Although there are many different versions of the program, they mostly all perform the same, by scanning the registry and deleting any unused or corrupt files, sometimes during uninstalling programs or hardware there are parts of the program that are not removed, the software clear these up.

The other way to clean the computer registry is to perform a manual clean, this is a very risky option and is not recommended unless you are an experienced computer technician, as it only takes one small error during the process to mess up the whole registry and it may be virtually impossible to put it right. With a manual clean it is very easy to accidentally delete crucial files and it may be make your computer totally useless.

There are many internet sites that can show and explain both of the above options in more depth, however, it recommended that you look for software rather than trying to carry out a manual clean, due to the complexity and the risks associated with the manual clean.
